1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Big annoyance with Screen Scaling

Post by Adequat »

28.30.0600
Windows 11 (25H2)
Font Scaling (3 screens: Primary Monitor: 225% / Monitor for XYPlorer: 150% / 3rd monitor: 200%).

The XYPlorer UI is not usable. See pictures.
The only way to use XYplorer is to override the High DPI Settings and use "System", which results in a noticeably blurry UI.
I can live with that, but there is another, more important problem:
When XYplorer launches another process, that child process becomes DPI-unaware. Hence, a native HDPI application looks ugly when launched from XYplorer, which is a shame for a file manager.

Has there been any progress on fixing this? I recently went on a bit of a deep dive and found a Notepad++ bug tracker about the same issue.

Their discussion (and fixes) are here, if that helps:

Okay, I see. Currently XY's interface is being completely rewritten. This will take care of any screen scaling issues.
