Today Microsoft announced that they were extending updates for another additional year - until October 12, 2027.

Note that under "How much does Windows 10 cost?" it says that there's no cost if you sync your PC settings with Windows Backup and Restore. I have never (nor will I ever) use Windows to backup/restore my PC and I have not paid anything for ESU. And I have it on four PCs. So don't let that alleged "requirement" stop you from getting the continued updates.
