:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

64 Bit Tray and Task Bar Issues

Post by TestMeister »

XYplorer: 28.30.1200 (64-bit)
Windows 11 Pro, 64-bit, Version 25H2, Build 26200.8737 (10.0)
1920x1080 (125%)

Just installed 64 bit with the 32 bit config conversion and so far all is well but with a couple of glitches

Configuration\Startup & Exit
-Startup window state = Tray
-Minimize to tray on X close = enabled
XY starts minimized instead of in tray and on X close it stays minimized

When Right-click XY on task bar, (Close window) does not close.
Only way to close XY is Menu\File\Close

Confirmed. tB still has issues with basic window functionality. I try to work around it in the next beta.

Don
Frankly, given the effort it must have taken to port XY, I'm surprised how otherwise stable XY64 is; and I don't experience any performance lag.

For the first time I visited the tB web site and see you have not only made made a substantial professional commitment to the platform but also a significant financial investment.

Do you feel the unresolved XY64 bugs are primarily related to tB as WIP?

Thanks!

Yes, sure, it's still in beta stage, partly even alpha IMO. And they have their own priorities which are not 100% the same as mine. :) But of course I agree, it's fantastic how well it already works.

Thanks again for all your efforts.
I can't begin to imagine what these last 18 years professionally and personally would have been like without XY.
