Hi,
Does anyone know how to clear the history of previous searches (both for the F3 'quick search' and the standard F12 window) ?
Thanks,

You can clear the Lists in Tools > List Management >
Find Files: Name...
Find Files: Location...
Find Files: Excluded Items...
Quick Name Search...
But perhaps you'd be more interested in just not saving this information in the first place?
In which case go to Tools > Configuration > Startup & Exit
Then you can either uncheck 'Include most-recently-used lists on save' to not save any of the MRU data, or click the 'Apply to...' button right below it and uncheck 'Find Files Patterns and Locations' for just the search history.
However, I'm not sure this also covers the quick name search, so give it a try and if not we'll need to ask Don to include that here.

Re: Clear search terms history
Hi,
Thanks, this certainly answers my question.
I think *for me* keeping history is useful for the session only (say for use with the back/forward navigation), but I'll certainly remove the history at the end of the session.

Currently not, but it sounds like a good idea.
