1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Non existant files have become undraggable

Post by jupe »

Not sure which version it started with, but there was a change in the last couple months (in both bitness's) that made it so that by default you can no longer drag non existent items such as paperfolder zombies or VFO items.

eg, if you run this: goto "vi:<xy>|C:\whatever.txt";

You can drag the exe but not the txt file, admittedly I can get it to still work in x32 by disabling
Configuration | Other | Shell Integration | Drag and Drop | Use standard shell drag and drop

but that option isn't available in x64, and I haven't found any other workaround, and I hate to ask for a tweak, but I actually used this feature frequently to drag and drop between instances and to rearrange paperfolders of offline files, so is there any way to make it possible to return to the old behavior that existed previously, or make it optional?

I just flicked back to a random version v27.90 x64 where it was working, but if you need me to narrow the change down to an exact version I guess I could.
