Testing the current version of XYplorer.
Immediately ran into usability issue.
I added favourite folders to Rapid Access panel.
Clicking a folder in Rapid Access opens it in the main view, so far so good.
Then, when I open any folder in the main view, it expands the corresponding folder in Rapid Access,
removing most of my Rapid Access items from view by shifting them out of bounds and thus making Rapid Access unusable,
until I collapse the opened item.
This happens every single time when I open a folder in the main view.
How to stop this?
I couldn't find any setting in Configuration, nothing in the Tree and List section.
I need the regular, static favourites panel.

Menu - Tools - Customize Tree - [x] Lock Tree?

This expanding is the special super-power of Rapid Access as opposed to regular Favorite lists. If you don't want to use it, you can use the Windows global Links folder instead, or the Catalog.

Re: (solved) How to stop folders in Rapid Access from auto-expanding?
I should note that its extremely weird that Catalog is disabled by default.
Rapid Access cannot function as default replacement for Favourites / Quick Access panels in Explorer due to what I already described
(as it interferes with your ability to actually use it by constantly shifting items out of bounds),
yet in a default config its presented as such.

It's not so weird when you consider that today's users crave extreme simplicity.
