I'm using taskbar as vertical on left side for more than a decade and never had problems with XY32. Now trying XY64 and got a bug: when XY is in fullscreen and top right buttons depict that, from time to time it doesn't actually occupy whole screen, but gets a gap between taskbar and itself. If i minimize and get XY64 back - it's "fixed", but later(presumably after some other fullscreen apps used) the gap appears again.
The gap is always same, so i guess it has something to do with vertical taskbar. Yet tried to use taskbar horizontal for couple hours, XY stayed properly fullscreen.
This behaviour is observed on 1900x1080 screen size, XY64 28.10.0500, if it matters.
XY64 fullscreen gets "shifted" if taskbar vertical.

Re: XY64 fullscreen gets "shifted" if taskbar vertical.
How do you do this in Win11 (vertical taskbar)?

Re: XY64 fullscreen gets "shifted" if taskbar vertical.
Sorry, have no idea about Win11. In Win7 it's same as in all OS before: right click on taskbar, make in unlocked, drag to whatever side of screen you want.
It seems waking from hibernation can bring this bug too.

I tried to reproduce it in Win8 but couldn't. All looks fine.

Re: XY64 fullscreen gets "shifted" if taskbar vertical.
Hm, well, maybe someone in future shell find a better pattern to reproduce. In my case, the gap appears for sure after waking from hibernation.
At least it's not a workflow crushing bug, so probably can live with that.

Re: XY64 fullscreen gets "shifted" if taskbar vertical.
In general, XY64 has various window-related problems (size and X/Y/Z position) originating from tB. These issues will be resolved in the near future.

Re: XY64 fullscreen gets "shifted" if taskbar vertical.
Hi Don
Just so you know, XYplorer 64 does the same thing when the Windows Taskbar is at the top (that's my setting).
If the Taskbar is on the left there's a gap, but not if it's on the right. Also no gap if the Taskbar is at the bottom.
The gap is exactly the width of the Taskbar (i tested it with small icons/big icons in the settings of the Taskbar).
In my setting with the taskbar at the top, XyPlorer64 shows "extra empty space" in the Status Bar and at the right edge of the window (when fully widden).
Right now the workaronnd I use is:
- Launch the app : the window is shifted
- Click on the icon in the Taskbar (to hide the window)
- Click again to show it again
- push F12 key two times to remove the extra space
and that's it.
Right now i'm not home but I will post screenshots in a few days.
Have a nice day.

Screenshots together with steps to reproduce it would be nice. Then the case can be sent over to twinBASIC.

Re: XY64 fullscreen gets "shifted" if taskbar vertical.
Some fullscreen shots from me. Fresh instance of latest x64 version used. The Left gap appears:
1)on XY start;
2) after hibernation awakening;
3) if XY was in maximized state then > windowed > and maximized again.
Left gap can be "temporary healed" by minimizing XY into taskbar and bringing back to front.(but any of events described above shell bring glitch back)
citoyen is right, i was blind not to notice sooner - apart from the left gap, there is an another visual glitch = UI spaces at bottom and right side. Bot+Right UI spaces appear right after "minimize > back front" action described above.(so "healing" first glitch leads to second one)
Bot+Right UI spaces can be "healed" by double press of F12(as citoyen rightfully proposed) or by switching dark/light mode. (BUT only after first glitch was dealt with, by minimize > back-to-front action = switching dark/light mode has NO effect on the Left Gap glitch)
Apart from Dark mode able to "temporary heal" second glitch, it behaves totally same, showing Left gap and bot+right UI spaces, with same ways to temporary get rid of them.

Re: XY64 fullscreen gets "shifted" if taskbar vertical.
Hi guys
My settings: Win7 (French) SP1 with the Taskbar at the top
Here are my screenshots:
1- After the application is launched 2-After i click on the icon of Xyplorer in the taskbar to hide it then one more time to show it. Now the window is maximized. 3- After i press 2 times on F12 to "remove the extra space" on the taskbar and on the right side of the window. 4- Here are some info of the state of the screen just after i launched the application: 5- Here are some info of the state of the when everything is as it should be (no gap, no extra space) I hope it will help a bit.
Have a nice day
PS/ i tried the first version of the 64bit Xyplorer and it did the same. (probably a Win7 thing)
