Hello to all,
Recently, XYplorer started sorting files in random order even though it is set to ascending. When I rename a file, the sorting switches to ascending, but as soon as I perform another action it goes back to random.
Even if I configure everything exactly the way I want and set this view as the default, the problem returns the next time I visit the folder. The only way the sorting behaves correctly is when I save the folder view; it does not work properly with the default view.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
64-bit version - 28.10.0300
100 Zoom - Windows 11

1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).
We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.
When attaching an Image, please use the Attachment tab at the bottom of your post and click "Add files".

Looks like you defined random sorting with your default folder view? If that's the case just redefine or delete the default folder view.

It *might* also be caused by a bug that's just been fixed. Try v28.10.0303 once it's uploaded.

I’ll wait for the new update, as I’m still experiencing the issue. There doesn’t seem to be a clear pattern in the sorting behavior. When I sort by name, the tags are not sorted correctly, and when I sort by tags, the names aren’t either. I’ll check back after the update to see if it has resolved the issue.
