Re: Weird icon in tree
This is a color filter with a distinctive shape, apparently applied to a no-name folder. You can see the kind of the filter in the file info tip if you tick "Color Filters" in Configuration | Information | File Info Tips & Hover Box | Show file info tips | Select Extra Fields.... Let me know, it will help to find out where that ghost folder comes from.
PS: It reminds me of situations where users manually moved their Download folder to some invalid location.

Re: Weird icon in tree
You're right, since I don't use the default downloads folder, I simply deleted it.
The color filters are already enabled, I didn't understand what you've said, what should I do?

Re: Weird icon in tree
The Download folder is a special system folder owned by Windows. If you want your own special folders you can use the Rapid Access section of the tree.

Re: Weird icon in tree
Well, I restored the original documents folder, and it's showing alright in the tree.
It was working fine until I rebooted, now the ghost folder with that icon appeared again, documents it's still there, if I click on documents on the tree, it shows the files/folders on the right pane (which are on onedrive), but if I double-click on any, if it's a folder it shows "location currently not available", and if it's a file, either nothing happens, or the associated program opens but cannot load the file.
It's redirecting to "c:\documents\" which does not exist.
Oh, onedrive is working fine, it's working on windows explorer.
I don't even know if I did something, but, can you help me? Thanks in advance.

Re: Weird icon in tree
Something is a little off with your Windows. I would look for "c:\documents\" in the registry.
Wait, you moved your Documents folder to OneDrive?! Wow. Bold level of trust.

Re: Weird icon in tree
Regedit couldn't find "c:\documents" anywhere.
I use OneDrive since it was still SkyDrive almost 20 years ago, never had any problem. But I sill have backup of what's in there... and backup of the backup...
This is a fresh Windows 10 installation, I will explain it:
My motherboard doesn't have TPM, and I wanted to upgrade to Win11, so I installed it bypassing TPM check, but it was giving a lot of BSOD, so I reverted back to Win10.
I never bothered with those folders (local documents/downloads/music/etc), really never used, I use another raid storage for all the important stuff, and the not too much important stuff on onedrive (and to access those files outside my home), but I simply tried to get rid of them this time (the local always empty folders), and created all this mess...

Hm.
You never did what I suggested in my first post. It would have helped.
