Am I using "update" incorrectly?

I had v.102 installed and ran "::update 145". This exited, reloaded and then reported there was a new beta available and suggested to update. I was hoping this would be done when it kicked off the initial update.

145 is the sum of the flags
1: include beta version
16: silent (no questions)
128: run app (with same elevation/privileges as the current instance)
..so why isn't that doing it?

That's odd, I ran update 1+16+128; from a menu script this morning for x64 v28.10.0204 and it worked fine.
