button default icons & button names

Post by zakhar »

Hello, dear XYplorer Community!
XYplorer v. 27.20.0800, Win11 25H2, Screen 125%.
I use some buttons in the toolbar with their default blue round icons. Today I have updated to v. 27.20.0800 :
The default button icons were changed at the first XYplorer start (and afterwards) to the existing text entries,
which are set under "Right click the button | Edit... | Name:".
If I delete these text entries the default button names are displayed - for example "User Button #53".
So I find no way to return the default blue round button icons of the toolbar buttons.
(I have seen the same behavior if experimentally installing 64bit over 32bit XYplorer under some previous unknown versions.)
Please return the default button icons back!
Thank you.

Yeah, the default button icons aren't really default anymore...

I changed that on a whim. Seems like it wasn't such a good idea. Should I undo it? Cast your vote here.

I'd vote for yes, undo, because otherwise I think it will cause heaps more of these posts with people wondering what happened.

If people want to use a text button they can just check the box, instead of being forced into it.

The no-icon functionality is situational for specific cases.

The main problem was as I wrote : I could not find the way to restore the default round blue button icons.
Where should I find information about ":ctb" ?! (Which is, may be, not a bad solution.) Only here on the forum.
May be pass a text line about ":ctb" under the "Icon:" line in the same way it is made above the "On left-click:" line.
