2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

staus folder size not displaying

Post by graham »

minor bug I think but could be by design

start XY from new with info panel set to other than properties.

Select a folder in list view and it does not show size in status bar

if properties is selected then it does.

If by design I think it better to always show size independent of info panel tab setting

You mean when folder sizes are shown in the list? Cannot reproduce...

Image

status(2) shows 1 selected: 0 bytes

select properties tab and click folder and it now displays the size

Yes, this is by design. You obviously have enabled "Show Folder Size On Properties tab". As a special service this size, once calculated is also displayed in file list, and what is displayed in file list is also displayed in status bar. Now, if another tab is selected then the Folder Size is not calculated to spare work, hence you do not see it in list and status bar.

As Don explained, this is normal behavior. What looks "odd" to me in your SS is more that you statusbar says "T8, mod 21/06/08 19:31:12" like it was the Modified date, while it looks like the Accessed date actually...

bit slow there Don - I feel sure you have something amazing for XY just around the corner (not DP) as you seem to be on a go slow for new features in XY, but I know you will deliver but hurry up

Don't forget wheel mouse fixes, touchpad fixes, unicode fixes, and of course football!

A little update on the <curver> syntax.

I read an interesting thing in the xywiki:
xywiki wrote:The syntax is: <curver|text here> When such parameter is specified, if version information is found for the item, then the text specified will be returned also as prefix. ...
This time the wiki is leading and XYplorer follows. This feature will be added to the next upload! :)

heh, yeah for some reason that made sense to me and it seems I assumed it worked like that without even testing, or forgot it wasn't actually the way it had been done!

Well, I guess I found myself a way to make changes in XY directly : I just put them in the wiki, and they "magically" appear.

You know, I thought the same thing when I read Don's post!
Guess we better not do that in the future too often!
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.
