"LastFocus" Tweak is Ignored

Post by WirlyWirly »

In both the current 64-Bit v28.10.0000 and a ::fresh instance, startup focus defaults to the address bar, regardless of where the configuration file says it should be.

This line in XYplorer.ini is being ignored.

Code: Select all

...
LastFocus=L
...

It's not a tweak, but a remembered state. It should just work, and it does here. :?

Well, digging into it a bit more, I believe it's only an issue in the 64bit version.

I downloaded a copy of 32-Bit xyplorer_full_noinstall.zip and there's no bug; The last focus state works fine.

I then downloaded a copy of 64-Bit xyplorer64_full_noinstall.zip and the issue is reproducible; The last focus state is ignored.

That's what I assumed, but I'm not seeing it here.

I'm not sure what you did, but the issue has been kinda fixed in the latest beta; v28.10.0005

It now works with LastFocus=L and LastFocus=A

It does not work with LastFocus=R, there is still the broken behavior. It might just be that R isn't an option? When I focus on the right-pane and do File > Save Settings, it saves it as LastFocus=L instead of R.

I use LastFocus=L, so for me at-least it's not a problem, but just something to be aware of

I'm pretty sure the "L" in this context stands for List.
There is no such thing as left and right pane as it could also be top and bottom depending on your preferences.

What do you mean "use"? This ain't a tweak. You don't set it actively. It's something that works under the hood. :eh:

And yes, no "R".
