Imgur content is not viewable in United Kingdom

For the benefit of users in the United Kingdom

For the last few weeks, I've noticed a growing number of the following message in forum posts:

I've discovered today that this is an Imgur message. This is confirmed by Imgur (https://help.imgur.com/hc/en-us/article ... ed-Kingdom) and explained in many places, e.g. The Register (https://www.theregister.com/2025/10/01/imgur_exits_uk/).

To view the content in the United Kingdom, the only option is to use a VPN.

And users in the UK can't upload to imgur either. Again, a VPN is the way to go.

What a silly restriction.

So if I post a screenshot in a forum post, should I use something other than imgur? Is there a preferred host that folks use?

Attach the image to the post? Should work in most phpBB forums
