If I were a user, with no context of this conversation and who saw a checkbox named "Enabled", I would think it would hide/show the button.

"Clickable" makes more sense to me for such a checkbox.

That said, I feel that using DIS:: at all is such a niche thing to do, it doesn't really need a checkbox... Outside of this particular topic, there's not much use for an unclickable button...

Having a checkbox for text:: would be more useful to the average/new user, since they're more likely to use such a checkbox and probably aren't reading through the help file enough to know text:: even exists.

However, there's plenty of free real-estste next to the "Fireclick" checkbox, so there's no reason you can't do both and more 🤷‍♀️

For me, "Enabled" sounds right. "Clickable" is so non-standard, or?

Good idea with the checkbox to replace "text:". But how to call it? "Use name as text instead of an icon"? There must be something better.

I mean, clickable is definitely a word in the dictionary and we're using it in the intented context... 🤷‍♀️

"Name as Icon" or "Icon Enabled" makes sense to me for a text:: checkbox, since if they disable the checkbox, they'll see right away what takes its place; The name. You can still include that longer explanation as a tooltip.

Another idea: If the Icon field is completely empty, shouldn't the Name field be used as text automatically? No need for a text: prefix.

That's a good fallback for an empty icon field (unless someone out there is using the default CTB icon), though having only that feels like more of a discovery/error-handle than an intended feature.

I'll go for Clickable. Nicely complements "Fire click on mousedown".

You might want to consider "Unclickable", so that the default state of the checkbox is unchecked.

Making a CTB unclickable should definitely be an intentional act, which in this case is done by enabling the checkbox.

It's more in line with the fireclick checkbox, which is unchecked by default.

Don, nice changes for text CTBs and disabling tooltips.
Due to size limitations, I don't suppose the text for CTB text titles could be on more than one line?

For those that may not be aware, you can put the CTB tooltips on more than one line viewtopic.php?p=148649#p148649

It still seems to work fine along with the latest changes.

No problem Don, I was just thinking of horizontal real estate on the toolbar for those that want to use text instead of icons.
