Incorrect Selection on sorted folder

Post by AndyML »

I always have my Downloads folder sorted in decending date order.
When I select this folder in XYplorer then it displays it in ascending name order and then switches to descending date order (midly frustrating).
But the problem is that when I select the first item in the folder (which I may have just created) then XYplorer selects a different file or directory in Downloads. If I do this without thinking (which is what I want to do) then I can end up opening the wrong file. What I always need to do is choose Downloads, select the item, double check and (usually) select the right item.
It sounds like XYplorer is getting mixed up between its initial and second sort, or because a new file has been added to the directory since it last displayed the files.

Any help appreciated! Thanks, Andy

You mean you select the first item before the Downloads folder is fully loaded and sorted?
