webp files skipped in Floating PV when using std Nav keys

Post by sparks »

XY64: 28.00.1200
XY32: 27.20.0703

BASIC (and very minor) PROBLEM:
Lists of files with image files (tested: .jpg .png .gif .webp), ..When a .webp file is displayed using (F11), FPV starts and works as expected.

Then w/NAV keys (UP/DN-Arrw or Spacebar/Cntl-Spacebar) for next image file, if is another .webp file, FPV displays as expected.

If it is ANY OTHER image file ver, it still displays as expected. But AFTER displaying that different image file, NAV keys will then ignore all existing .webp files entirely, simply skipping over them, continuing to work as expected on all other remaining image files. Toggle (F11), or use mouse to select a .webp, and away we start again as above.

BASIC INFO:
- Exists in XY64, and "FRESH" XY64 equally.
---DOES NOT Exist--- in my 'side-by-side' totally separate nearly identical config XY32

- ---BUT---BUT--- DOES Exist in a "FRESH" ver of my XY32 !!!!

- Which of course makes me question my sanity and testing...
- Minor heads-up Don, Stuff it on the bottom of your (I'm sure) Huge List.. :)

- Ctrl-Right-click the image in FP: select "Navigate by Category"
- Configuration | Preview | Previewed Formats: ensure that WEBP is ticked under Image Files.

Great.. Nothing better and easier to fix than 'operator error'

Thanks Don, for the instant fix.. -- which I would have never thought to look for, and should have... :appl:

On a related note, when bringing up text-type files in the Floating Preview, it use to be that the initial focus was on the frame itself, but now it is on the read-only text field.

This lets you scroll the document, but also interrupts navigation so you can't press any keys to go to the next/previous file in the list. The only way to get focus on the frame is by left-clicking the FPV's Status Bar. Otherwise, the only way to get to the next document is to first close the FPV, scroll down in the list, and then re-open the FPV.

I don't know about you guys, but I use the preview window to get a quick "preview" of documents, not to actually navigate them in-place of a dedicated text-editor.

A tweak to override this would be great, so that it behaves in the same way as the Preview Tab of the Info Pane.

***UPDATE***
I did a look through my ini and found the tweak, OpenViewsUnfocused=0. I turned it on and that seems to provide the old-behavior, since the focus remains on the list
