Why is the 64 bit version still labelled beta?

Post by bobfleming »

As I understand it the 64 bit version was 'released' officially on Oct 15. Yet, it still seems to be referred to in various places on the web site and forums as beta. Are official and beta releases not mutually exclusive?

I only noticed this some time after I migrated to 64 bit, and at this stage I doubt any difference in 32 / 64 stability and reliability are likely to make a difference to me, I'd just appreciate some clarity.

The "beta" will be removed (and the price will increase) once support for multiple monitors is complete. I estimate that this will be the case in 2–3 weeks.
