Info Panel layout not correct

Post by billcat »

The Info Panel does not display correctly on Windows 11. XYPlorer64 version 28.00.

I tried adjusting my Windows Settings to make Scale 100% for all monitors - I normally keep Scale at at 150% for one monitor, and 100% for two others. No matter how I zoom using the scroll wheel in the Info Panel, it is never quite right and doesn't always use the full space of the window, as shown in the following image.

Completely broken, wow.

1) Does resizing the window help?

2) Is anyone else having this same experience?

Info Panel looks fine for me on Windows 11 at 100%, x64 v28.00.0103. Though I have to look at my dark settings; my Info Panel unselected tab text is barely readable.

Looks and works ok here, both in full screen, partial screen with exits, restarts... tested with x64 v28.00.0100,
then next I updated to x64 v28.00.0200 with Ctrl+Check for Updates, no difference or problems.

Window resize sometimes causes an adjustment in the pane size, but the layout is still stuck in a portion of the pane. I also tried moving the window to different monitors with different geometries - even the standard 1080p would not draw the window right. I uninstalled and reinstalled, with no change. Even when the pane at least fills the available window space, I have to zoom scroll the font to get it to fit (small). Making the font larger crowds the various spaces for the elements - they do _not_ expand to fit a larger font.

Yes, this is one of the known issues with the 64-bit version. It is currently being tackled. Expect a fix soon.

In the meantime you can apply a workaround (see bottom issue): https://www.xyplorer.com/faq.php#issues64

This helps. Thanks.

Look forward to the vertical spaces in panels and tabs to be able to expand when fonts are zoomed to allow larger/zoomed fonts to fit well.

For larger fonts increasing custom scaling in Windows display properties is the way to go.
