Uninstalling 32-bit, while keeping 64-bit w/o losing config file

Post by highstream »

I'm not sure how I ended up with the 32-bit version of XYplorer after clean installing Win 11 last month, but I just installed the 64-bit. I'd like to uninstall the 32-bit, but will I lose the 64-bit version's config file or is there anything in the registry that would be messed up with the 32-bit uninstall? Figure I better check first. I usually uninstall with Revo Pro, but can use Programs & Features if that's safer. Thanks,

Depends on your installation. Open Configuration (F9) in each version (32-bit and 64-bit) and compare the path you see in the title bar of the Configuration dialog. If it is a different path, you can uninstall the 32-bit version without losing the 64-bit settings.

Thanks. They were in separate folders. I used Programs & Features (CP) instead of Revo Pro, to avoid any problems from the latter's more thorough uninstall.
