Could help file in PDF format also be bundled in installer package?

Hi All,

the current help file in CHM format is always bundled in the installer packages. The help file in PDF format is provided in the support section of the web site and therefore only available "once".

Any reasons, why it is not also bundled in the installer? If not bundled in the installer packages (for resource / size reasons?), could it maybe added to each freezer version page?

You can bookmark the link to the PDF and that way it doesn't add any bulk to the package. Then the latest version is always available with a single click. Place the bookmark on your desktop and you won't even have to open your browser first.

thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I asked for the "opposite" than what you proposed.

I wanted PDF version of help file, which has the same content as the related CHM file. Currently, I just get the newest version in PDF format, but not older ones. In CHM format, I could extract each installer package, even old ones, and get those "outdated" hel files.

You can convert CHM to PDF by using online converters.

Ahhh yes, I see that I didn't fully understand what you were asking.

But I will add that asking Don to go back and add a PDF help file for every version in the freezer is one hell of an ask.

Let Google be your friend and do what Don suggested. Find a CHM > PDF online convertor. Then you can have what you're looking for and Don doesn't have to do anything.

I try this function with Calibri-convert with an CTB, but it fails due to a lack of understanding of scripting..
How do I specify arguments in a script?

This line does not specify the format to which the file should be converted, what it should be named, or where it should be saved.
Does anyone have any ideas?

"<curitem>" is already an argument for the input file. so specify the output file as the second argument
