:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

New Feature-Copy Path/Name- How to Use

Post by TestMeister »

XY 7.20.0001

Trying this and can't seem to get it to work.
-I added option to toolbar
-Selected a file located in a path one level off the root of C:
-Invoked 'Copy Path/Name' button on toolbar
-In right lower corner of XY, message displays: "1 path/name copied to clipboard" but no menu or dialog box appears
-No paste options in right-click menu
-Positioned at another folder and hit Ctrl-V
-Nothing happens and get message 'Nothing to paste'

Am I missing something?

Oh no, it doesnt copy the file itself, it copies just the file name and path to clipboard.

Yes, but there is a button simply called "Copy" to copy selected items to the clipboard, along with buttons to Cut and Paste as well, of course.
