Just started testing x64 yesterday, basically spent all this time in the F9 settings menu.
(a) This is reproducable for me:
(1) Start XY64 (2) Hit F9 (Settings) (3) Click OK (4) Main window shift 4 pixels to the left and 27 pixels up
(b) Not reproducable (yet):
(1) Start XY64 (2) Hit F9 (3) Change some setting(s) (4) Click OK (5) XY64 crashes.
I will test further, maybe I'll find something reproducable for (b)
Like I said in another topic: It was such a huge surprise to see the 64bit version, I'm sure there will be little "issues" here and there, but I'm sure they can be fixed. Excellent job!!!
[EDIT] Mind you, the crash might only occur because I changed "some" settings already, so I will also test with a "clean" version and try to find out which setting might cause *later* changes to crash.

Please give additional info about Win, monitor(s), DPI, scaling... See here for a permanent info in your profile's Location field, which might give this issue some priority boost: viewtopic.php?p=231018&hilit=pledge#p231018

Did you start it via a shortcut (.LNK)? twinBASIC currently has a bug that causes XY started via shortcut to exhibit strange behavior.

Re: x64 - Testing lots of settings - Main window shifts up & XY sometimes crashes
Nope, not by shortcut.
In the meantime, I also had the crash on a clean config (just the exe, no ini files at all). I will test further. Maybe I will also try a bit of Procmon etc.
[EDIT] To me, it almost looks like something "redraw" related or something. I mean: why the "pixel jump"? Maybe the crash is related to that too.

I will leave this thread now (see my signature). I'll come back in a few days.

Re: x64 - Testing lots of settings - Main window shifts up & XY sometimes crashes
I am testing on different computers and different OS versions.
For now, the crash and pixel jump doesn't seem to occur on the latest Windows 11 24h2 version. Hmm...
I have a test laptop with 3 Windows versions: W10 LTSB2016 14393, W10 LTSC2021 19041 and W11 LTSC2024 26100
Too much to fit into the "Location" field, really.

Re: x64 - After using f9 settings main window shifts up & XY sometimes crashes (older Win only?)
So it seems Windows version related to me. In that case it might be more of a TwinBASIC issue then a XYPlorer thing?

It is definitely a TB issue, but I need to figure out how to reproduce it in order to file a bug report. Btw, I reported the shifting window over 4 weeks ago, but they haven't had time to fix it yet.
