Yup, that was the intention and your suggestion does the same, but I find it much more appropriate, not being some "cunning" hardly understandable workaround solution (which was my way, even in the original). It was apparently a very long time since I have looked into the filter documentation for the last time.

@Don: I noticed something a little strange in x64, cmd seems not to inherit its enviro vars, eg goto "!set";

Confirmed and fixed.

Don I noticed that the x64 doesn't seem to be following the OS regional settings for the #date variables, (the <datem>/date column is ok though, by default showing the System Short Date as expected) eg:

e "<prop #date.m><crlf><datem>", "<xyver> <xybitness>";
