Semi-Persistant Live Filter
Re: Semi-Persistant Live Filter
As I understand your idea: I type a search (filter) string, look at and work with my results, then press Escape to leave the Live Filter action - and at that point my last string / filter gets added to the MRU.
If so, that sounds like a "best possible" solution.

EDIT: (Messages crossed) Trying it in 26.90.0308 it works just like the above which seems great; thanks!

You enter the filter, activate the filter, work with your results, maybe even change your filter… and once you return to filter-less mode… that's the moment the filter gets saved.

Yep. Or when you switch tabs from a filtered tab.

Re: Semi-Persistant Live Filter
Since the original idea is still on the back-burner, can the new MRU feature be extended to auto-apply the last used filter when navigating back? Now that I typed it out, I suppose that *is* the original idea!
