XYPlorer freezes when visit folder

Hi,

When accessing folders using XYPlorer, it freezes displaying a loading icon.
In contrast, using the built-in Windows Explorer works fine.

I've already tried clearing XYPlorer's thumbnails, but the problem remains.

May I ask is there any solution to fix this, thanks.

Other folders have this problem as well.

The time has always been like this, only when it's closed, it asks whether to wait for the program to respond.

No. It's a local folder.

Hi,

No lag in the new instance.

However, when copying files, the mouse pointer keeps spinning and becomes unresponsive within the XYPlorer software.

Maybe it's antivirus? Try to exclude XY from it.

I've found it to be an antivirus issue. If I turn off AV, these folders suddenly come to life instantly when opening. But when AV is enabled and I navigate to folders containing hundreds of WAV's or around 50 exe's, then it can take upwards of 30seconds to finally show the contents. I thought computers were supposed to be faster as technology advanced? Must've got that wrong! lol
