Drag and drop from desktop to XYplorer no longer working

I've just upgraded to XyPlorer v. 27 (27.00.0300). Now, when I try to drag a file from my desktop to a folder in Xyplorer, I cannot do it (I get a he cursor changes into a "forbidden" icon as soon as it arrives in Xyplorer. I can still drag and drop between folders (or even from the Desktop "folder") within Xyplorer, and I can drag from Xyplorer to the desktop, but not vice.versa. Everything seemed to be fine in version 26.

Any suggestion?

And XY is not running with admin permissions?

No: it was running in "normal" mode.

I've found a solution, and I'm posting it here, in case other people encounter the same issue: it looks as if one has to re-enter the license details (name and key).

Upon upgrade, the program was running as licensed (i.e., not in trial mode), but did not permit me to drag and drop from outside the program.
I uninstalled it, reinstalled it, entered again my license info, and restarted the program. After that, drag and drop works again.

I highly doubt that licensing has anything to do with it. Rather the restart (maybe including a restart of Windows).
