:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Missing Column choices after Windows Update

Post by CWyss »

Since the last Windows updates of April 8, 2025 (both Windows 10 and Windows 11) many column choices that used to be available are now missing. In particular, I had set up a custom column layout for video (which I have attached). This used to show "Frame Width" in the third column and "Length" in the 4th, but now shows "Frame rate" in the 3rd column, while still showing "Length" in the 4th.

The list of column choices is now severely restricted compared to what it was before. And it is very much restricted compared to the column choices that Windows File Explorer now shows. The new behavior is the same in both Windows 10 and Windows 11 after the Tuesday updates.

I'm seeing the new behavior in the latest XYplorer version 27.00.0200 and also after I rolled back to version 26.90.0300, so it is something to do with Windows changes. I hope you can help.

Less choices than in File Explorer? Very likely the reason is difference in bitness. It will be automatically fixed in the upcoming 64-bit version.
