It's the app. Just move XYplorerTB.exe to where your XYplorer.exe is located and all will work.

When chancing the size between two panels there is a lot of flickering going on. The VB version doesn't do that.

Software: should we be aware because it's soft ? I like to think not !

Here we go boys, big-reveal!

Dropped it into my xy folder and it picked up my config, scripts, and all the relative-paths I use. It's also interacting fine when called by external processes.

From some quick playing around of core-functionality, I'd say I'm comfortable using it full-time, with only a couple hiccups so far...
  • When doing an in-line rename, instead of deleting the previous character, the backspace acts like the toolbar back-arrow and goes up a folder.
  • When doing an in-line rename, when confirming the rename with the Enter key, it will instead open the file with the CFA.
  • Occasional white-flashes when refreshing panels, I notice it most during an in-line rename and then pressing the tab key to switch panels.
I'll keep my eye-out for bugs as I use it over the next week, but from first impressions this beta is very exciting for the future and growth of XY

I have a repeatable problem renaming folders: after pressing <Enter> XY opens the folder with its old name.

And I have a script that opens a
popupmenu
. The old version by default highlights the first entry, teh TB Version does not.

This is an example of a minor issue. I'd suggest that you all keep the minor stuff to yourself in a private list, and only post major issues (like the inline rename failures or preview issues above) in this thread for now. Otherwise we will drown in glitches.

Since I've seen no one else report this, I feel that I'm doing something wrong.

I extracted XYplorerTB.exe and placed it in my XYplorer directory. Double-clicked it and got this:

Clicking on the toolbar drive letters seems to go to that drive as the status bar recalculated folder sizes. Clicking on a favorite from the toolbar button also recalculates, but no tree or list ever shows up.

What if you resize the window?

Resizing the window to maximum shows the entire tree. (Progress!) going back to its initial size keeps the tree visible. Clicking on anything that would bring up the file list does not display the list, but again it is recalculating.

EDIT: Typo

Okay, looks severe but is probably just a tiny little disruptor that's easily fixed.

Could you send me your INI file? I'm curious to see if I can reproduce it.

Sent to support.

Just tried it on another Win10 machine and it's doing the same thing.

Drag and dropping a file onto a folder in the tree or an entry in the catalogue doesn't seem to be working in this version (TB 26.90.0204).
Pressing backspace while typing in the quick filter box takes you up a directory level instead of deleting the character.
Pressing delete while renaming a file using the in the in-line edit deletes the file.

PS:It's exciting to see such remarkable progress so far.

Thanks. It's caused by Configuration | General | Startup & Exit | Startup window state = Minimized. It's a bug, but as a workaround simply set it to Last State.
