[Resolved] Custom File Association - missing something?

I tried the Custom File Association feature, but it's not working. It seems I'm missing something to properly enable it.


Just two custom test extensions. I guess the programs are recognized, because their icon fits?


My test files, but double-clicking one of them brings this the windows popup...



Any ideas what I did wrong?

Ok, I solved it:

Make sure "Open With" is in your toolbar, right click on it and verify these are checked:



In my case the "Open Items by First 'Open with' Match" wasn't enabled.

If this doesn't work:
- right-click file
- "open with", there: "select other app" (translated)
- select correct app, then click "always"

==> perfectly hidden, but always works for me!
