I just came across this news! Fantastic to say the least! I've always been astonished by how much Don has accomplished over the years with XYplorer using Visual Basic. Only second to my original astonishment many years back when first learning that it was actually written in VB!
Running on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit quad-core ASUS G752-VY notebook with 64 GB RAM, over 26 external USB3 drives attached via multiple powered hubs with letters and mount points, totaling 120+ TB.

We are only about 4 or 5 bugs away from the first test upload of a TB-compiled XY!

Not to hijack the thread, but are there any other Easter Eggs hidden amongst the XY bits and bytes?

Oh wow, 64-bit and multi threading sound amazing.

But ... please no Linux version! XYplorer is the only thing holding me back from ditching Windows. I am too old to get used to another OS and desperately need XYplorer as an excuse not to learn something new!!!

How long until the first official beta release? I've been waiting for a month

It's common practice (and courtesy) that one should never ask a developer when something will be available. The developer who commits to a specific date or time frame will only disappoint their users. They don't know what potential issues face them on the road to release.
