folder tree icons disappear after upgrade
The last two upgrades I have performed have resulted in missing folder icons after XY restarts. I have to reboot the computer in order for them to display properly again.

Re: folder tree icons disappear after upgrade
I always update via the Help | Online Support | Check for Updates menu item. I don't know if this is relevant, but I also use the "portable" version. It is installed to a folder that I use for apps that support such a thing, not "C:\Program Files (x86)". OS is Windows 11 Pro.

Re: folder tree icons disappear after upgrade
As I said in my initial post, it has happened after the last two upgrades. It had never happened previously, that I recall. I just upgraded on it different machine and the icons disappeared on that one too. So, that's three times now.

Re: folder tree icons disappear after upgrade
I meant: Does it happen every time after the last two upgrades?
Begs the question: Why only you?

Re: folder tree icons disappear after upgrade
I just tried it on a third computer and the icons displayed properly after the upgrade. This difference is that is a Windows 10 computer. Perhaps it is something specific to portable installations of XY on Windows 11?

Re: folder tree icons disappear after upgrade
Is it only the folder tree? What about icons elsewhere in the interface?

Re: folder tree icons disappear after upgrade
Apparently, it is just the folder tree.

Re: folder tree icons disappear after upgrade
There is another user (via email) now with the same problem on Windows 10 Pro.
2) Does it make a difference if you uncheck this?: Configuration | General | Safety Belts, Network | Network | Assume that mapped network drives are available
3) If it happens again run this script through the address bar and post the results:
1) After you rebooted the computer the problem is gone until the next XY upgrade?

The "B:" drive is virtual. It is a Cryptomator vault (https://cryptomator.org). I will try your suggestion and let you know what happens after the next upgrade.

Re: folder tree icons disappear after upgrade
Good news: I could reproduce the bug and fix it.
Next beta.

Re: folder tree icons disappear after upgrade
Well, that worked. I unchecked that option, restarted XY and the icons are displaying properly again. No reboot necessary.2) Does it make a difference if you uncheck this?: Configuration | General | Safety Belts, Network | Network | Assume that mapped network drives are available
