Tree of mapped network drive disappears
Hello.
Today I've noticed a problem with version 26.80.0205 and mapped network drives: If I double-click or right-click a file of a mapped network drive, the tree of the drive disappears. F4 doesn't bring it back. I just can access the root of the drive and then navigate in the list view. Favorites still work.
I've tested this with fresh versions of 26.80.0203 and 26.80.0205 -> Problem.
Then I've tested it with a fresh version of 26.70.0604 -> No problem.

Re: Tree of mapped network drive disappears
Same issue.
I've tried 26.80.0200 and 26.80.0205.
After starting the program, if I double click folders, it goes inside and the tree expands.
But, if I right click ANY folder or ANY file ANYWHERE from within ANY drive (even local drives), the tree (including the 'chevron') for ALL my mapped network drives disappears until I restart XYplorer. It does this every single time making XYplorer completely unusable for me
Also, double clicking SOME files does the same thing, but I can't reproduce with all extensions. So far any extension associated with WinRAR does this, same for .nfo and .sfv. But, if I change the extension from .nfo to .txt and double click on the .txt file, the tree doesn't disappear.
Lastly, I can't always reproduce this if XYplorer has been running for some time (like a few minutes), but so far, on a fresh start it does this every single time for the examples mentioned above.

Re: Tree of mapped network drive disappears
I was about to post in Lost Names of Mapped Network Drives with v26.80.0000. because I had the same problem with ALL the mount names being gone and reverted to the weird long name, but I noticed the last post mentioning:
Configuration | General | Safety Belts, Network | Network | Assume that mapped network drives are available
I unchecked it, restarted XYplorer, and not only this it fix the mount names issue, but it also fixed the tree disappearing issue I just posted about!
P.S. You also mentioned:

P.S. You also mentioned:
Is there a reason for this? As all the names should be available even for offline drives in the registry underany custom names (which you don't seem to have) will be replaced by the generic names

Re: Tree of mapped network drive disappears
Got it. What shall I do to make the drive tree disappear?

Re: Tree of mapped network drive disappears
Just open a path of a mapped network drive and double-click or right-click a file.

Re: Tree of mapped network drive disappears
Somehow, I've expected that because here it also happens with a fresh version.
Isn't there an extended log function?

You can look into the debug log with
dlog; but I doubt there's much in it.FAQ | XY News RSS | XY X

Exactly what I did in v26.80.0206.DeeLight wrote: ↑27 Jan 2025 18:31 P.S. You also mentioned:Is there a reason for this? Re: Tree of mapped network drive disappears
So we have two users with the mysterious disappearing mapped drive tree.
Is the mapped drive available and connected in that moment?

Re: Tree of mapped network drive disappears
I just backed up
I looked at the settings, and ☑ Assume that mapped network drives are available is enabled.
If I right click ANY folder in ANY drive (local or remote), ALL trees for remote drives disappear.
I've tried in a VMs as well with a fresh
Edit:
1. 26.80.0206 fixed the mount naming problem!
2. All mapped drives are available and connected, I've re-tried it in .0206, and still same behavior.
XYplorer.iniso a fresh one is created.
