(simple) Syntax highlighting for preview pane or raw view

I've been trying to apply XY a lot to my daily software development and testing tasks. I'm turning some of my colleagues on to it too. One of them asked for this which did cross my mind at some point.

A simple syntax highlighting capability similar to what EditPad Pro has. So we can have clear and colorful views of code files like HTML, .CS, .CPP, .JS, etc. Maybe this would be a checkbox in the Raw view or preview pane.

That would rock.

Has anyone asked this before and could this make it to the road map?
