Outlook File Drag & Drop

Post by Broham32 »

Hey hey.

I'm getting this error whenever I try to drag & drop files from "New" Outlook to XY

These files also cause this pop-up to happen if I drag into plain ol' Windows File Explorer

Is a fix possible? Thx!

What do you mean by ""New" Outlook"?

"New" Outlook is the one hosted by M$ without any local files, i.e. only works while connected but still in development and many features not up to the "Classic" Outlook standard yet. For one, no support for .PST files.
On win 10/11 you'll have the "New Outlook" app even w/o an MS Office license.

Aha. I see it now in my Win11.

Drag and drop is one thing I won't be tackling before the move to XYTB, as that kind of inter-process magic will probably be performed under a different star in the future.

Gotcha 👍🏻. I can drag n' drop into new messages in Outlook, but not out of it.
