Target folder not always opened from search tab using "Open containing folder in a background tab"

From directory "E:\Audio\Music", did a recursive search for "*.png".

From search results tab, pick a file and right click "Open containing folder in a background tab".

New background tab opens, but not the destination folder, instead folder opened is the original search root, "E:\Audio\Music". If I immediately repeat, a new background tab opens on the same (incorrect) directory.
But if I switch to that created tab, then switch back to the search tab and retry the command, a new background tab is created but this time in the correct folder, for example "E:\Audio\Music\K\Knuepfer_ Sacred Music (King) {20161025}". The original search root tab remained at all times

I have tried restarting XY, no change.

Closed search tab, then repeated search. No change.

After several more iterations, I am now finding that the operation will sometimes work as I think is intended, but not always.

So, not by any means critical, just ... odd.

Strange! I tried hard but could not reproduce it. Can you mail your XYplorer.ini to support?

Thanks, got your file, but still no luck.

The problem might be how you select the files and how you trigger the context menu. Is it possible that you do that by key instead of by mouse? That could mean that the file owning the menu is not the "current file" in the sense of being the actively selected file.

I just went ahead and fixed it for the above situation. Next beta.

In the search window, I selected the file with a left-click, then accessed the context menu with a right-click

Correction:

Sorry, I just repeated the search, and tried to repeat my actions on "autopilot". I realise that I actually did not actually do a left-click select. Instead with nothing selected, I simply hovered the mouse on a file, and right-clicked directly to the context menu
