Slow double click to rename not working in top pane

on 26.70 and noticed recently that doing the select and click to rename option in the top pane stopped working... bottom pane works fine... I can right click to rename just fine.. but the old method of clicking and item, then quickly clicking again to rename isn't. Thoughts?

You probably turned it off. Check your checkmarks in Tools | Customize List.
