Custom toolbar button for update XY...

A while back, I believe there was a thread about a custom toolbar button to check for XY updates.

Of course, there is the option to have XY check for updates on startup. The problem, I have is that I rarely shut down XY as it's my go-to program for just about everything. Sorry, Don; that's your fault!

Can someone point me to the thread or give me the script and button to make this custom toolbar button happen?

I had found that one. But there was a more recent one that I'm referring to it was much more complete and description. Does anyone else know?
