context menu wish

Post by eurytos »

would it be possible to add an additional item to the context menu when a shortcut is selected?

If I right click a shortcut now I get the option to 'Go to Shortcut Target'

It would be nice for me to add an additional item (maybe 2 :) ).

- 'Go to Shortcut Target in New Tab'
- 'Open Containing Folder in New Background Tab'

These are pretty much the same options that are available when an item listed in the search results is right-clicked.

If I can only get one of the two, I would prefer 'Open Containing Folder in New Background Tab'

Thanks!

Even if this is done as config tweak that is fine with me.

Oops, sorry. You already know that, right?
It seems, you want it explicitly in the context menu.

Ugg, I am seriously retarded I completely forgot about holding shift. But, being able to open the item in a new background tab is really what I would like.

I can't believe I posted pretty much the same request twice, meh..

Sorry

So let's just pretend I only request the ability to open in a background tab :)

Thanks for your help bergfex

Looks like there's one superfluous item in search results context menu... :) ... but I'll keep it as a service to the less savvy...

I never had this need. What about others?

But only yesterday I wished I had "Copy Shortcut Target Path/Name". What about others?

I have never needed it before, but I can see the use of it.

It would also be great to have a CKS for "Miscellaneous > Go to Shortcut Target in New Tab".
