:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Scaling Issue

Post by gggmmm »

Hi

Since one of the recent updates I have a scaling issue with XYPlorer.

Setting:
Win11
Laptop Screen (primary with a scaling of 125% in Win Screen settings)
Big screen (secondary with scaling of 100%), where i mostly use XYPlorer
I use the indexing app Everything (text searches for files/folders and on clicking opens them in XYPlorer)

Bug:
When I open XYPlorer normally (from Windows) it opens straight to the secondary display with correct scaling
However, when I open a folder from Everything, XYPlorer opens on the secondary screen, but everything as slightly scaled bigger.
This wasn't happening a while ago, so I suppose it has to do with the recent updates.
I suspect this is the 125%-scaling from the primary monitor, that somehow sneaks in.

Any suggestions to troubleshoot?
Thanks

Get earlier versions until you find the one that still works and state that version number?

I would do it with the alpha versions though, not the betas.

And will my settings be preserved if i just run the installer of an older version on a system, that has the newer version installed?
Is that all I need to do fo a rollback?

Make a copy of your XY data folder before you do this (just to be safe if anything goes wrong) and restore it after you've found the two versions (the last one that works and the following that doesn't work anymore).

Menu - Go - Go to Application Data Folder
