Captalization of network folders not being respected

Post by thales »

It's been a long-standing issue for me that the folder names of a network drive do not respect capitalization.
For example:
The folder name in the server is ABCD, but XYplorer shows abcd.
There is also a problem with the way XYplorer updates the folder list. Even with the auto-refresh option (Ctrl+Shift+R) enabled, the list of folders doesn't update when a change is made on the server. I have to press F5 or F4 several times to get the newly updated list of folders or restart the program. It's annoying!
I don't know if this is a bug or if I'm missing something in XYplorer's vast configuration options.
Would someone be able to help me with this problem?
My version is 26.60.0300 with Win 10 Pro. My server is a Qnap NAS.
Thanks

With
Configuration | General | Refresh, Icons, History | Auto-Refresh | [x] Include network locations

and e.g. creating a new file on the share (while XY is displaying that folder) via touch test.txt, XY displays that new file after a moment...

That's not happening here and there is no code that changes the capitalization of servers. :? Can you show a screenshot that might shed some light on the situation?
