Trouble Restoring Settings

I am having trouble restoring my settings. I am using the latest portable version 26.60.0300 (11-Nov-2024).
When I go to restore my settings, XYplorer will close, then reopen with my applied settings. The restored settings are only good for that session. Once XYplorer is closed, the settings will revert back. I don't remember having this issue before. I was hoping someone could help me make the settings stick. Thanks.
