Folder Name Shows Highlight Color

Without knowingly configuring this, starting today, any folder that has a file that's been modified today now shows a background highlight.
My only change was to define a new Paper Folder but after closing it, the highlights remain.
I don't believe I have any color filters causing this

I had a major file reorganization project and needed to manually highlight selected files but couldn't remember which toolbar button to use. By mistake I initially selected Instant Color filter. After to toggling, it was apparent I selected the wrong button, removed it and then added the Labels button. I had never used the Instant Colors before so wasn't aware of the function. Immediately following, I spent some hours on my project and completely forgot about my brief left turn.

It's embarrassing to not recall doing something that was directly related to the problem I was having. I would have been one of those annoying users that called tech support and insisted nothing had been changed
