Focus capture
Focus capture
Hi. I have a folder with short video clips. The preview is set to "Play and to next". When I finish one video clip and play the next one, XYplorer intercepts the focus. If at this time I type something on the keyboard in another application, the focus goes to XYplorer when I change the video. This is very uncomfortable. Is there any way to disable focus interception when playing the next video?

Re: Focus capture
1) Are you using the latest version?
2) In which part of the interface are the videos displayed?
3) Does the issue persist if you untick Configuration | General | Menus, Mouse, Usability | Mouse | Allow dragging from a background window?

1) 26.60.0100
2) I use 2 file pane, the video plays at the bottom, in the info pane.
3) When you turn off "Allow dragging from a background window" the same behavior.
P.S. I have more than one monitor. On one monitor XY is open, where video clips are playing sequentially, on the second monitor I am typing something from the keyboard.
In "::fresh" the focus is also transferred to XY when the next video is played.

Re: Focus capture
In this case mp4, but the extension doesn't matter. Loss of focus in another application occurs when watching any video in XY, at the moment of switching to the next video file.
There is no such problem with audio files.

Re: Focus capture
Cannot reproduce it.
It only happens with that two monitor situation?

Re: Focus capture
I turned off all the monitors, leaving only one.
Started XY (::fresh), opened the info panel (F12), went to the "Preview" tab in the info panel.
In the file panel, I opened the folder with the videos.
When playing a video in the info bar, I clicked on the orange square and enabled the "Play Next" option.
Additionally, he opened a notepad and began typing in it. When you play the following video, the pad moves to the background, losing focus, and the foreground becomes XY.
I have Windows 11 24H2 now, but it was the same on Windows 11 23H2. I can't say for sure about Windows 10 (I can't remember), but I think I had the same problem there. Could it have something to do with the video driver? I have an NVidia GTX 1060.

Re: Focus capture
I found the reason.
In Windows, there is an option: Settings -> System -> Display -> Graphics -> Advanced graphics settings -> Hardware accelerated GPU scheduling. By default, this option is enabled. If you disable it and reboot the system, XYplorer no longer intercepts the focus when playing the next video file. But I'm not sure if I should disable it, since it affects not only XYplorer but also other applications. Especially since it is enabled by default.

Re: Focus capture
Interesting! The existence of this setting depends on the hardware. I don't see it on my machines. Anyway, I doubt this focus capture is fixable.
