Here my very short version of this script without any bells and whistles.
Its fine for me in Germany running an english Windows 10 with German locale and english language.

Recently, the latest version 0.98 from highend stopped working: the paper folder is created and filled but cleared immediately. I've commented out line 304 and it's working again:

Maybe something in the implementation of paper folders has changed, but deleting a temporary file should not have caused this problem.

I think I met the problem too. Launching a second search gives the results.

As Highend already said above
use the newest script version 0.9.6 from:
viewtopic.php?p=188977#p188977
This works fine with the current Everything 1.5 and the current XY version.

You can also use this Autohotkey script from Highend which feeds the Everything GUI results into an XY paper folder.
I don't find it currently in the forum so I copy my modified version here for reference.

Any reason why the results are blank (empty)?
Running ET Version 1.5.0.1367a (x64) running as a service
Everything_v0.9.5.xys
es.exe v1.1.0.27 (downloaded today)

It's not throwing any error message, just a blank paper:Everything tab

Show a screenshot of what you've entered in the script GUI and one for the everything GUI after entering it there...

Not exactly sure what you mean. I go to Scripting -> Run Script ->

And now open Everything's GUI, enter notepad as well and show a screenshot of its window

Attach the .ini file that the XY script has created to your next posting (rename it to .xys instead of .ini) and show the first 10 lines of the Everything XY script you're using

Ok, and you have this entry:
alpha_instance=0

in your:
Everything-1.5a.ini file?

- Which XYplorer version is used?
- Was the whole setup running correctly previously?

Changing alpha_instance to 0 fixed it. Must've missed that in the setup instructions. What does that do?

FWIW was using XYplorer 19.50.0200

alpha_instance

Set to 1 to use the 1.5a instance name for window class names and mutexs. (default)
Set to 0 to disable.
Only available during the alpha version.
Filenames for settings and data will continue to use the 1.5a instance.

alpha_instance only affects the IPC window names and mutex names.

Do not disable alpha_instance if you are still using Everything 1.4. (Otherwise command line options will be passed to the existing Everything 1.4 process)
