Search Empty Folders & Move Up Directory
Search Empty Folders & Move Up Directory
Hey guys, I was cleaning up my highly organized music drive and was wonder if there was an option to search for all empty folders? Also, is there a keyboard shortcut or something to select files and move them up one directory? Yes, I am that lazy
Thanks for the help and a great product.

Re: Search Empty Folders & Move Up Directory
1. Find Files: Set Size filter to "At most: 0"; set Attributes filter to Directory. press Find Now. The search results will contain all empty folders (Size = -) and all zero byte non-empty folders (Size = 0).TommyBoy wrote:Hey guys, I was cleaning up my highly organized music drive and was wonder if there was an option to search for all empty folders? 2. Create a UDC of type "Move To" and set Location to .. (simply 2 dots). Then assign keyboard shortcut.

Damn, tech support around here rocks! I just thought of one other thing that would really save me a lot of time. Is it possible to select a folder that has sub-directories and have it run batch renames on the files within those sub-folders? Right now I have to go into each directory and run the remove _ and caps for within each directory. Thanks again for everything.

You can run batch renames over search results. Simply do a search that lists all items in the folder (like search for *). You can also use the command menu Edit / Show All Items In Branch (Ctrl+F3).TommyBoy wrote:Damn, tech support around here rocks!
