:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

:info: When attaching an Image, please use the Attachment tab at the bottom of your post and click "Add files".

Run into crash when right-clicking the folders

Post by Quan »

Right-clicking on a folder causes the program to crash. However, if you right-click the files first, there will be no problem when right-clicking the folders.

1) Is there any error message?

2) Is it the same if you tick this?:
Configuration | General | Menus, Mouse, Usability | Context Menus | Hide shell extensions from shell context menu

Thanks, this method works. But the Context Menus shows different items after ticking this option.
These is no error message when this crash happens.

You have a misbehaving shell extension.
Use the Nirsoft tool Shellexview to find the culprit.
Only non-Microsoft entries are of interest.
Disable the others one by one to find the problematic one.
