CBR/CBZ preview problem after upgrading

Post by caseym54 »

I had been running 23.20.0100 for a while now without any real issues. Today I upgraded to 26.40. All of a sudden my previews for cbr and cbz comic files show just the top half of the image and are reduced in size. Going back to 23.20 everything works again.

Also, both version display mkv files as black boxes (the reason I tried the upgrade).

Hmm, cbr and cbz are not even officially supported. Where (which category) did you add them?

Try a Windows reboot.

"Review as thumbnail" in 23.20.100 works. The actual handler is CDispayEX which has 32-bit and 64-bit versions (and handlers).

The same setting in 26.40 gives the following in the preview pane
Capture.PNG

Downgrading brings back a working system, so I don't think it's the handler that got stepped on.

"Try a Windows reboot."

Yeah, no effect.

Yep, thanks!

@caseym54: Can you send some of those sample files to support for testing?

Hmmm, another thread fading into nothingness... It seems to be a new thing that people disappear before the case is closed.
