xyplorer crashes if mounted drive is write-protected

Post by d.hoffmann@gmx.com »

Hi,

when mounting a veracrypt container in write-protected mode, xyplorer will crash, if I repeatedly try to delete a file from this container.

Long form - I mount a veracrypt container in write-protected mode - I select a file and hit "delete" - on the information box I hit "retry" - xyplorer stalls and then collapses ...

I can restat xyplorer, but error will occur every time .....

The version prior to this one did not have that error ....

Any easy fix ?

Kind regards
Dirk

Really? There have been no recent changes in this regard. Have you checked an earlier version from the freezer (https://www.xyplorer.com/freezer.php)?

Hi,

I used 24.80 for a long time and 26.20 in the interim and they did not show this behaviour.

Were you able to replicate the crashes ?

Cheers

I was curious and have just tried that with 26.30.0205. Could not replicate it. No number of "repeats" via info-box brought any instability to XY.

Good Morning.

tried this morning and no problem this time - not sure why ...

Error did occur for mounted containers which are on a usb-stick, maybe the sticks caused the issue ....

However it does work now - so many thanks for testing and apologies for waisting your time !

Cheers
Dirk
