Two issues on XP systems

Post by genieautravail »

Hello,

I have two issues on a old laptop with XP system even with the last release of XYplorer (26.30):

First, the event sounds doesn't works, even with custom WAV files, no sound at all.

Second, I have a display issue with the Hover Box.
On the following screenshots, the Hover Box is cutted by the lower pane:

If I lower the lower pane, the Hover Box is displayed correctly:

Sometimes, the Hover Box is displayed correctly the first time, but after several times, the issue occur.

Finally there is a display glitch on the toolbar, half of an icon is displayed:

On my previous release that I used (20.90), no display glitch on the toolbar :

Hello,

1. Might be fixed in the next beta, let me know.

2. Cannot reproduce.

3. This is a consequence of the recent toolbar enhancements (Multi-Row Toolbar). I'm not sure if this is a bug or just another button at your service (even if it's only half visible).

1. OK, I will try the next build.

2. Some more screenshots:

3. It's one of my icons and I have some others icons behind it:

But with a single-row toolbar, the management of the icons is better, I have an icon behind the last on this screenshot and half of the last icon isn't displayed :

The z-order issue should be fixed in the next beta.

The toolbar thing is more of a design decision. I admit it looks like a bug. I'll think about it.

Hello,

Yes, the bug with the Hover Box is now fixed on XP.

About the event sounds, customs WAV sounds are now played but not the default sounds embedded in the executable. :naughty:

Many thanks for the first-class support ! :appl:

ding.wav is played two times? Cannot reproduce. How do you move/copy the file?

The event sounds are a very good idea!
I use sounds in my batch, AutoIt and XYplorer scripts since fifteen years.
A sound let me know that a task is completed without having to stay in front of the computer.

Perhaps can you add the option to play a sound after copying/moving files only if the duration exceeds a certain time ? ;)

Just by drag and drop.

I was able to reproduce and fix the double-ding, but for a background operation, not a foreground one.
